Workshop: The Bible and Philosophy

October 20, 10 a.m.- 6 p.m.

RaT office (Schenkenstraße 8-10, 2nd floor, room 53)

The workshop will explore the manifold relationships between the Bible -- the New Testament and the Hebrew Bible -- and philosophy. The focus will be on considerations that identify the relationship between philosophy and the Bible as being relevant in today's world. Transformations of concepts, narratives, minor and major theories that reach into the present will be considered. Among other things, the workshop will serve to prepare a volume that will be published in the J-RaT series.

With presentations by: Kurt Appel, Clarissa Breu, Isabella Bruckner, Jakob Deibl, Isabella Guanzini, Esther Heinrich-Ramharter, Richard Heinrich and Sandra Lehmann.
